Argus Car Hire beat off tough competition from major multinationals by scooping the 2012 Grand Prix accolade at the 2012 Nokia Digital Media Awards in Dublin. This award is presented to the most highly acclaimed project of the year. Argus Car Hire’s entry “Working Local, Thinking Global” was given full marks by judges across all 25 categories. This was an outstanding achievement and indeed, an important win for a company that has fully embraced digital media in their marketing strategy. Argus Car Hire also picked up the award for Best Search Marketing Campaign, for their “Working Local, Thinking Global” campaign.

Judges were impressed by the website's "quick-click search and booking process, excellent clarity of deals and vehicle details and extremely solid design".

The European Multimedia Forum (EMF) and its partner associations presented Argus with the Gold Seal in recognition of its innovative booking engine technology, which uses multi-lingual "direct connect" CarTrawler technology.
